KrisBeats is the PB Undergrond DJ - a core part of the PB Underground team and resident DJ for the band's club gigs.

KrisBeats' DJ set combines high energy funk driven music - mixed, blended and scratched. He has a vast selection of music spanning many genres including soul, chill out, break beat, house & party grooves; all big parts of his set, but the main incredients of his music are funk and the PB Underground sound.

KrisBeats started DJing hip hop, break beat and funk as a teenager in the south west of England. Wanting to explore the depths of turntablism and create his own style of DJing he learned the art of scratching using funk as the basis to his sound. At university he studied the history of James Brown and the routes of funk and soul while using any opportunity to dig through record shops for rare vinyl. After DJing and promoting funk and soul at successful nights around the south west he came to London to work as a sound engineer at the legendary Abby Road Studios where he has worked with a series of music legends including Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis & Jamiroquai.

By chance, Kris found himself working on a session with PB Underground MD Pete Biggin, and was soon hooked onto the funky sound of the PB Underground. Kris is now working on producing the band's album whilst putting together some seriously funky PB Underground remixes from the Abbey Road sessions so far.
